Description
Provide a solid entry and exit from your above-ground swimming pool with the Premium A-Frame Pool Ladder. Made from maintenance-free resin, it has an extra tread for easy climbing. Extended handrails allow for an easy exit from the pool. Wide treads and the top platform are non-skid for sure-footed traction. The ladder is adjustable to fit above-ground pools from 48-in to 56-in in depth. To prevent unwanted or unsafe entry, the outer ladder section slides up and locks (lock not included). An anti-entrapment barrier prevents kids from swimming between the treads, under the ladder, or behind the ladder. Backed by a 5-year limited warranty.

I have an Intex Ultra Metal Frame 15x48 pool that is 2 years old. After a successful first pool year, we decided to make some investments this season to further our enjoyment of the pool. The ladder that comes with the pool is functional however nowhere hear sturdy enough to handle my 13 year old or my 14 year old gigantic son (6'4" and 270lbs) with special needs. SO - NEW LADDER TIME!I looked around for several weeks and determined that Amazon was the best place to go to based on price and available reviews. I selected the Vinyl Works NE120T ladder even though some reviews made the ladder seem questionable. The color is taupe, which for some reason made the ladder cheaper than the white version. It's cool since I don't care about the color plus the taupe seems like it would hide dirt better.Ordered the ladder in June 10 late in the evening. It shipped from Colorado and made it to the Midwest by June 15. The box is very large and weighs about 60lbs. Upon delivery I could tell that the box had been drug around instead of carried or placed on a handtruck as the staples to close the box were ripped out of the closure flaps and one end of the box was beat all to hell. Not one to shun some laziness, I also drug the box off of my porch and into the driveway to open it, lay out the pieces, and begun assembly.Truthfully, there really were not that many pieces. Other reviews made this ladder sound like you needed to be an engineer to assemble it, however I found this to be quite untrue. I am a 37 year old woman who had zero issues following the well written directions. I had the ladder unpacked and assembled within an hour and 20 minutes, including having my husband help me carry it to the backyard. *YOU WILL NEED A BOX WRENCH, SOCKET SET, AND RUBBER MALLET* Probably a screwdriver too. I wouldn't know since I opted not to install the entrapment feature since I don't have little kids and the entrapment feature seemed like it would actually cause entrapment rather than prevent it.The ladder is sturdy AF. My only complaint would be, as other reviews have stated, that the handles are wobbly. No matter - this is still leaps and bounds better than the ladder that came with the pool! The color ended up being a nice, light neutral - not the color in the pic so that was nice. The platform and stairs are nice and wide and sturdy. The ladder did come with the locking thingies broken off on both sides. Again, not a huge deal since I don't have littles but I do want to lock it when not in use so I rigged up something with some zip ties, a lock, and some MacGyver skills. For the price, the ladder shouldn't come damaged but whatever.I suggest using this on as level of ground as possible. I am leveling out an area today for the outside of the ladder and that will further improve the stability. Also adding a protective mat inside the pool under the ladder just for added protection of the liner and considering something to weigh it down inside of the pool.Bottom line - it's heavy. It's kind of a pain to put together but not difficult at all. If you can read then you can assemble this. The pieces are even clearly marked (A1, A2, etc) so I don't understand people freaking out about how hard this is to assemble. Also - smart people should assemble this outdoors as close to your pool area as possible. Lay out your pieces. Separate your hardware (All things people with common sense do before tackling a project such as this) and grab your tools. You'll be fine! It shouldn't have come damaged but I'll make it work. For the price and for what I needed it for, it's great! Also love the adjustable height feature. Fantastic! This product looks much sturdier then it really is. To get the full sturdiness of the ladder it really does need to be secured to your pool as the directions suggest. The ladder is heavy but semi neutrally buoyant in water. Also due to the child safety feature, the bottom of the ladder is flat rather then two legs. If the surface it is on is not completely flat, this can cause it to be unsteady. The child safety feature of the slide up rungs is also a reason it isn't as sturdy. Fixed rungs are sturdier. All in all, once attached to the pool, it is just slightly more sturdy then my metal pool ladder that came with the pool. I was looking for a sturdy ladder for my mother in law to use. This should make her feel safer, but the top handles are a little wobbly. The bonuses are that its not metal so it won't rust, the neutral color is nice and the slide up rungs are a potential life saver if you have kids. I bought this off season for $150. I don't feel it is worth any more than that. If I could go back, I might look for a ladder that had a cover that covered the rungs rather then have them slide up. As long as it wasn't a whole lot more. Overall, I'm satisfied with it. Feel it is safe for kids and sturdy enough if fully assembled and secured to the pool as suggested. Fyi, this is designed to be secured to pools with a flat rail on top. Mine is round and the bolts given aren't long enough to secure it. Also, to assemble correctly, you need a wrench, ratchet, screwdriver and drill. Not everyone has these so an average person would be in for a surprise. If your pool is on a cement slab, I think this ladder will be slightly sturdier.I haven't got the pool up yet' so I can't talk about the sturdiness of the ladder, but it was easy to assemble and works wellThe ladder was relatively easy to assemble. It looks nice and I like that we can slide the stairs up. We got it measured and set it in the pool. It was extremely unstable and dangerous. the materials are very cheap for an expensive ladder. My husband had to reinforce it with some extra screws but even then we question the safety. Unfortunately for me I waited to long from the purchase date and assembly and missed the “return by date”. We’re stuck with it now and will make it work. But don’t waste your money on this.We loved it for the first year! Very sturdy. Went together pretty well. But the Florida Sun took its toll. The plastic has weakened to the point that the legs are now breaking at multiple points. And this after only one and a half years. Will probably order again, but looking for an alternative.Putting it together was close to impossible. No room to work inserting bolts to screws. Have alot of patience so you don't give upIt was not easy to find a decent pool ladder that didn’t have the big steps and need sand to hold it down. This is exactly what I wanted. It is already in our pool and working perfect for my three kids!We like this ladder because it’s a good size and fits our pool well. SO much better than the small tube ladder that came with it. The top of it I’d rather wobbly but manageable. Assembly was a different story. Since ours didn’t come with hardware ( the company refunded us for the missing parts) we had to find them on our own and match everything up. Took several hours to assemble. I’m glad we got it because it’s so much easier to get in and out. The company responded very quickly to my questions and the missing hardware issue.I put the ladder together, the other reviews are accurate very poorly written instructions put the ladder together, it seemed very good but the first use it was very Flexi not as rigid As It Seems. It relies heavily on being able to fix it to the top railing of your pool and on Round Top tube pools is really difficult after a couple of modifications and alterations to my pool I was able to attach it somewhat sturdy that's why I edited my review.does not work on soft sided easy set pools. but that was not mentioned in the description.
